The Opie and Anthony Traveling Virus Show was great on Saturday night. Who doesn't love a good laugh?
It was held at the Moghegan Sun Casino. I've been there a few times now and never once have I even bothered to gamble. Not even a slot machine. It just doesn't interest me at all. While we were waiting in line to get t-shirts E noticed Rich Vos in front of us and started asking him about the show he did last night in New Britain. I almost didn't realize it was him at first. He is a lot shorter then I thought he would be. Ha ha.
So the show started and Rich Vos did the first set. He was pretty funny. They usually give him a hard time on the show (and last year the Boston crowd was really hard on him) but he was funny. He MC'ed the first half of the show, too.
Next up was Frank Caliendo. He must have been pretty nervous because he was talking so fast I could hardly understand what he was saying. I guess he was funny but like I said I couldn't understand much of what he was saying. And not to mention we had some annoying drunks behind us (and to the right) yelling out stupid stuff. They only seemed to do it during people they didn't really like though.
Then came Patrice O'Neal. When I first started lisenting to O+A Jimmy Norton was on vacation (or something) so Patrice was the first friend of the show I got to hear. And he was his usual self. He fits right in with them.
Otto & George were next. I'm not a huge fans of puppets. Not sure why. Must go back to my childhood. Puppets and clowns. But they had their funny moments. Man, are they RAUNCHY!
Bob Kelly made me laugh so hard I was crying. Again. That happened last year. He just had me laughing so hard I couldn't help it. He is a funny guy.
Opie and Anthony came out for the second half of the show. Anthony was a little hung over from the night before. And winning $50,000 at blackjack. Nice. They had so cool clips to show and then on to the next act.
Bob Saget was next. Totally not the guy you remember from "Full House". Much better actually. He is pretty good. Pretty good.
Then came Louie CK. He had some pretty good jokes about when a woman is a woman or still a girl. I liked those.
Finally Jimmy Norton. The whole crowd seemed to be waiting for him. And we all loved it. Since we had just seen Jimmy not that long ago some of the stuff we had already heard but it was still funny as all hell. And he's just a funny guy. And during the set someone finally told the annoying drunks to shut up and when they didn't (after saying something back to her) she went and got someone to tell them to shut up. A little late. We're almost done. But still. It was the thought that counts.
Steven Lynch was last and not least. He does funny songs. I love that stuff.
So the show was great. Oh it was Rich Vos's Birthday and at the end they brought him out a cake and Patrice pushed it into his face.
On the way home from the show we had to wait on the highway for cows that had gotten loose. Me being the animal lover was afraid they had been hit or something. I was happy they were okay.
Today I want to go over to Trader Joe's. I haven't been over there in a while.
That is about it for now. Happy Monday. I'm outtie. Much love!
